Google Buys Business.Site Domain for 'Google My Business'

Small enterprises now get free BUSINESSNAME.business.site domain absolutely free through Google My Business

As part of Google My Business, small business owners are able to make a website with a BUSINESSNAME.business.site domain name for free. Small businesses are now able to register a BUSINESSNAME.business.site domain for free through Google My BusinessIn a post published on the official Google India Blog, the brand said that 'with over 400 million Indians online, and approximately 300 million of them on smartphones, the internet has emerged as the go-to destination to research and buy. However, 32% of small businesses in India are completely offline. That means they are missing out on many potential customers.' With Google My Business, these SME's will be able to make an instant website with a free BUSINESSNAME.business.site domain name.

Speaking about .SITE, Parag Barhate, Brand Manager, .SITE, said, "The fact that 'site' as a word is widely understood and accepted makes it the preferred choice for a program as vast as Google My Business. The domain extension is versatile, hence it works well for all industries and can be moulded for any business, big or small."

With nearly 500,000 domains registered on .SITE and 51% of them being active, .SITE is one of the most popular domain extensions worldwide. In a study conducted by SEDO, the world's largest marketplace for domain names, .SITE ranked 3rd in the top 10 most valuable new extensions with highest potential for success.

The business.site domain is already in use by Google My Business program globally. A google search with site:business.site, shows 400,000+ results of websites that are already live on business.site.
