Nixu Software is pleased to announce the release of Nixu Network Equipment Extractor (NEE) 1.3 Series. The latest version of Nixu NEE introduces a number of key automations such as Auto-Add functionality for subnets and unknown clients found from the network. The new functionalities simplify Nixu DDI deployments significantly, as customers are no longer required to rely on manually managed and often inaccurate Excel spreadsheets when setting up Nixu NameSurfer IPAM.
"The most tedious part of DDI and IPAM deployment is often associated with the migration of existing Excel spreadsheets," said the Director of Technical Operations at Nixu Software, Ville Kummu. "The problem is two folds. Firstly, as the size of the organisation grows, so does the number of spreadsheets with various data structures. Secondly, there are many cases where some of the information in these spreadsheets are out-dated which means that without sifting through them there is no way to know what is still valid and what is not. We designed a product that solves this problem. Nixu NEE automatically pulls the subnets and clients from the network equipment and integrates them with Nixu IPAM, making the migration process a whole lot smoother," he added.
When integrated with Nixu NameSurfer IPAM, Nixu NEE presents organisations with location-aware IPAM that greatly speeds up the response time for internal service requests. It also provides real-time views of the active IP allocations, which allows organisations to maintain an accurate inventory of their IP addresses and take appropriate measures against unauthorized use of their network resources.
