Andrew Horton to join experts from Google, eBay and Yahoo! on brand protection panel
MarkMonitor®, the global leader in enterprise brand protection, announced today that Andrew Horton, director of product management, will present at the second annual Trademark, Anti-Counterfeiting and Grey Market Fraud Mitigation Summit. The conference will address the most aggressive "Act Before React" brand protection strategies to thwart counterfeiters from compromising brand integrity.
Horton will join a panel of industry leaders to address strategies to deter Internet counterfeiters and pave the way for a safer online market. The Internet has made it easy for counterfeiters to target unsuspecting consumers and the anti-counterfeiting community has responded by going after the "middlemen"—auction sites, search engines, ISPs and payment services. Panelists will discuss the effectiveness of the efforts, legal implications and the programs that intermediaries offer to decrease counterfeiting and secure brand integrity. Horton will speak alongside experts from leading companies, including Google, Yahoo!, eBay, Richemont and Ubid.com.
