dotMobi, the company behind the .mobi Internet domain, today announced that industry veteran Pinkard Alan "Pinky" Brand has been appointed to the position of Director of Global Domain Sales at dotMobi.

Brand, who has more than 12 years experience in the domain industry, is charged with building the ongoing use of the .mobi domain, designed to help consumers find content that works on mobile phones. I am excited to have him as a permanent member of the dotMobi team"

Brand's domain industry experience includes leading the market development efforts for the Digital Brand Management Services (DBMS) business unit at VeriSign, serving as Vice President of Marketing for Iron Mountain's Domain Name Management Services and co-founding two domain name registrar and portfolio management companies that counted the world's most recognized trademark holders as clients.
