CentralNic Bolsters Team for New Top-Level Domains

Global domain name registry CentralNic announced today several new appointments as part of its growth strategy to empower brand owners, city governments, not-for-profits and businesses to acquire and manage their own top-level domains (“TLDs”), as well as to assist investors wishing to benefit from the most valuable real estate on the internet—new TLDs. Joseph Chui will join the team as New TLD Account Director, and Lexi Lavranos will become Director of Marketing. Additionally, Amy Repp will join as Strategy and Investment Executive.

Joseph Chui, New TLD Account Director (New York City)
An accomplished executive with an extensive background in client relations and strategic team building, Mr. Chui will lead CentralNic’s communications with organizations seeking to launch new TLDs. Most recently an Account Executive for the business division of Jets.com, Mr. Chui managed charter accounts and relationships for numerous Fortune 500 businesses across North America. His online business experience includes a position as Account Director for Adotas, where he worked with top advertising agencies and created successful promotional campaigns for various high-traffic websites. Mr. Chui holds a BSc in computer engineering from the University of California, Irvine.

Lexi Lavranos, Marketing Director (London)
Ms Lavranos brings an established background of global brand experience in both agency and client capacity to the CentralNic team. As an Account Manager at award-winning advertising agency M&C Saatchi, Ms Lavranos worked alongside high-profile luxury and lifestyle clients including LVMH. Her in-house experience with luxury goods giant Gucci Group, under the Stella McCartney brand, saw her involvement in various key business development projects including the successful Adidas and GAP collaborations. Most recently, Ms Lavranos has developed extensive marketing initiatives, affiliate and social media strategies for several branded websites and companies. Ms Lavranos graduated with a BSc from Deakin University in Melbourne, and a BASc from RMIT in Melbourne and FIT in New York.

Amy Repp, Strategy and Investment Executive (London)
Prior to joining CentralNic, Ms Repp accrued two years of corporate strategy and investment experience alongside the Managing Director at Montpelier Asset Management in London. While there, her range of responsibilities focused strongly on client and investor relations, as well as managing stakeholder communications. Ms Repp received a BA from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and was awarded an MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London.

“Joe, Lexi and Amy bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in working with brands, online businesses, and new investors, which complement our existing strengths in domain name technology, distribution and sales,” said Ben Crawford, CEO, CentralNic. “With fifteen years of experience profitably managing and selling our own domain extensions, we are now better equipped than ever to help partners and investors do the same.”
