Hugh Linnehan is based in Washington, DC and Innsbruck, Austria. He has been active in the non-profit sphere for more than 15 years. As Executive Director of RHD International, Hugh is focused on lessening the global burden of rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease through greater global resource sharing, communications and project support.
Hugh was Director of Development with the World Heart Federation in Geneva, where he became familiar with the issues and funding challenges relating to rheumatic heart disease. Prior positions include Senior Communications Manager with GE Germany where he developed and instituted a change-management and internal communications strategy for the ‘One GE’ integration, and Corporate Partnerships Manager with SOS Children’s Villages International. Hugh also held legislative and campaign positions in the US Congress and Massachusetts’ 3rd District.
