Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies to Recognize Contribution from Internet Industry

ASOP (Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies) is often seen as taking a rather confrontational stance towards domain name registrars, registries and hosting providers. However both ASOP and others, including LegitScript, often cite the assistance they’ve received from internet industry players in their work.

This year ASOP has decided to take this a step further by creating a special award to recognize the contribution made by internet industry players to patient safety.

Nominations are open now and will close on July 15th.

They plan to present the award during ICANN 57, which is currently scheduled to take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico in November.

The Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies Global (ASOP Global) is proud to announce a new award to celebrate the good work of companies and individuals in the Internet ecosystem who have made significant strides in protecting patient safety online. The Internet Pharmacy Safety E-Commerce Leadership Award will be awarded to registries, registrars, Internet commerce companies, individuals, and others who have made a significant impact in improving patient safety online.

Nominate yourself, your company, or your colleagues!

Nominations should include:

  • The name of the individual or company,
  • An outline of efforts made to improve patient safety (can include policies, actions, or engagements), and
  • Relevant statistics or data, if available.

ASOP Global appreciates any and all nominations which highlight the good efforts individuals and companies make to provide a safe platform for purchasing medications online.

The winners of the Internet Pharmacy Safety E-Commerce Leadership Award will be announced during ICANN57 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, November 2016.
