Demand Media and Directi join forces for .PW

Demand Media’s eNom, the world’s largest ICANN Accredited wholesale registrar, today confirmed its participation as an accredited registrar for .PW—the Professional Web.

.PW is a new namespace operated by the Directi Group, for professionals and businesses around the world looking for first-choice domain names at affordable price points. Launched as the Professional Web at the ICANN Meeting in Toronto, Directi’s offering of well-priced quality names has fast gained acceptance from registrars worldwide with 90 registrars signing up from 31 countries to offer .PW domain registrations to customers.

“The market is looking for fresh and well-priced inventory and quality generic names are always in demand” said Chris Sheridan, VP, eNom Business Development. “We look forward to promoting .PW across our 8,800 strong reseller base as a well-priced alternative before the new gTLDs arrive”

.PW’s reach will now be to 21 million domain owners between the eNom and Directi businesses. “This partnership brings two of the largest wholesale registrars, eNom and Directi’s ResellerClub, to jointly distribute .PW domains to over tens of thousands of customers. We have aggressive global distribution plans and are delighted to welcome an industry powerhouse like eNom as a close partner” said Sandeep Ramchandani, Business Head for .PW.

eNom will soon start accepting applications for the .PW Landrush which starts on 18th February. Multiple premium .PW domains like gamers.pw, adult.pw, politics.pw and many more will be on offer during Landrush and are available for acquisition.

.PW is currently in the Sunrise phase and Trademark holders can protect their presence at any of the accredited registrars listed at http://registry.pw/sunrise-registrars/ before 8th February.
