Dr. Yassin Mshana is an international development consultant based in Africa and has successfully been responsible for assignments for Governments, NGO’s and UN agencies including DFID, FAO and UNICEF. International education experience that has enabled him to tailor solutions that have made huge strides in the utilization of ICT in education as well as rural development e.g. African Virtual University (AVU)

He was elected policy advisor at ICANN , ccNSO a platform to nurture consensus, technical cooperation and skill building among ccTLDs, he was key in the facilitation of the development of voluntary best practices for ccTLD management.

Dr Yassin holds a Ph.D. from the City University of London, a Masters degree in Technology from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, and a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam. And has been a member of various professional institutions including the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK); Institution of Engineers (Tanzania); Association of Teachers and Lecturers (UK); Poverty Reduction Learning Network for East and Central Africa and the e-ThinkTankTz for ICT Policy Development.
