Lori Faye Fischler joined Register.com in June 2000. Ms. Fischler was previously one of the founders and the Executive Vice President of Inabox, which was acquired by Register.com. At Inabox, Ms. Fischler was responsible for sales and marketing and all aspects of account management and relations, strategic alliances and third-party content. Prior to joining Inabox, Ms. Fischler worked as a corporate partner in the law firm of Leavy Rosensweig & Hyman, where she specialized in representing clients in the cable television, Internet and telecommunications industries. From 1992 to 1994, she served as a Legal Officer with the United Nations, advising on legal issues and preparing reports to the Secretary-General in staff appeal and disciplinary cases. Ms. Fischler has a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University School of Law and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Psychology from Tulane University, Summa Cum Laude.

On 22 May 2003, the European Commission announced its decision to designate the European Registry for Internet Domains (EURID) as the Registry for the new top-level domain (TLD) .eu. EURID is made up of three founder members ? the registry operators for the country code top-level domains (ccTLDs) .be (Belgium), .it (Italy) and .se (Sweden). The Commission?s decision follows a call for expressions of interest published last September and an evaluation by independent experts of the seven applications received. more
