Richard Clarke: Defend Against Cyberwar by Re-Architecting Networks, Not Buying More Technology

In his keynote yesterday at the RSA Security Conference, former U.S. top chief counter-terrorism adviser, Richard A. Clarke, said cyberwar defence efforts need to focus on re-architecting networks not buying more technology.

Infosecurity reports: “Investing money in re-architecting our networks and systems is the most effective way to defend against cyberwar, said Richard A. Clarke, Chairman, Good Harbor Consulting, in his keynote at RSA Europe, 13th October 2010. He controversially declared “that spending more money on technology like anti-virus and IPS is not going to stop us losing cyber-command. Instead, we need to re-architect our networks to create a fortress.”
