In its 132nd year INTA's Annual Meeting will connect more than 8,000 trademark professionals from more than 130 countries to learn about new worldwide trademark developments and the most current industry trends. Participants will have the chance to tackle important international trademark issues, including developments in international trademark laws, tactics for fighting global counterfeiting and effective strategies for domain management.

Given the current state of the economy and the fact that domain names are increasingly being viewed as important intellectual property, it is critical that companies place more emphasis on effectively managing their domain name portfolios. Although often managed in a similar manner to trademarks, the complexities associated with domain names are far more intricate and restrictions are likely to change rapidly. Cooper will lead industry leaders in discussion about industry growth and how companies can best secure and protect valuable domains in a global marketplace. Implementation policies and procedures to ensure that new registrations support corporate objectives while at the same time maximizing portfolio value will also be covered.
