Afilias Appoints Keith Lubsen as Chief Business Officer

Keith Lubsen, Former VP of Business Development Promoted to Afilias’ Chief Business OfficerAfilias, the world’s second largest domain name registry, today announced that it has promoted Keith Lubsen to the newly created position of Chief Business Officer, responsible for general oversight of finance (including profitability), mergers and acquisitions, and legal aspects of the company, all areas he has been involved with for some time. Keith will report to the Afilias Board of Directors. Some of Afilias’ President and CEO Hal Lubsen’s, key previous direct reports will now report to Keith. Keith’s appointment recognizes his successful efforts to increase the company’s growth, profitability and shareholder value.

“Keith’s deep level of involvement and ability to work well with the management team, gives me absolute certainty in his capability to guide Afilias successfully into the future,” said Hal Lubsen.

Keith Lubsen has over 20 years of business experience, including over 15 years in the domain name industry. He joined Afilias in 2007 and was previously the Vice President of Business Development responsible for both internal and external oversight functions that helped the company achieve its business goals.

Keith was formerly at the domain name registrar Domain Bank, which was one of Afilias’ founding members and shareholders, where he oversaw marketing and business development. He played an instrumental role in the sale of Domain Bank to Dotster in 2005 and helped manage the transition.

Prior to Domain Bank, Keith was a successful real estate land developer in Utah.
