HostGator Launches goMobi Mobile Website Solution from dotMobi

HostGator, a world-leading provider of Web hosting services to clients from more than 200 countries, has signed a global agreement with mobile Web expert dotMobi to offer the goMobi mobile website publishing solution to its customers. HostGator will make the award-winning goMobi mobile Web solution available immediately to its U.S. customer base with a rollout to international markets in the months ahead.

goMobi lets small-to-medium businesses quickly establish a presence on the mobile Web with an easy-to-use, Web-based service. Businesses and individuals can create mobile websites in just minutes, with no technical knowledge required.

HostGator CEO Adam Farrar said, "We're excited about goMobi. With a mobile presence now a 'must' for businesses, goMobi gives our customers a great mobile option at an attractive price."

More than 95% of smartphone users search the Web on their phones, and two-thirds of those searches result in a call or visit to a store, according to recent Google research. To take advantage of that growth in mobile usage, goMobi includes a range of features designed for businesses to engage with their customers via the rapidly growing mobile channel, including: click-to-call, maps and directions, video, QR codes, product galleries, ecommerce support and social networking access. goMobi sites can be created from existing desktop website content or designed from scratch, with a range of customization options aimed at designers as well as business owners.

"Customers, especially those focused on local markets, have been expressing an interest in making their sites mobile. goMobi's simple user interface makes it possible for customers of all skill levels to go mobile in minutes and keep content synced with their sites. It's a great solution for our customers — and our team was pleased with how simple the back-end integration was," added Farrar.

dotMobi COO, Eileen O'Sullivan, said, "We're delighted to welcome HostGator to the fast-growing goMobi network and look forward to working closely with them on the huge opportunity that mobile offers their customers."
