Sedari is delighted to announce the engagement of Fay Howard as Chief Operating Officer. Fay has substantial senior experience of both the domain name registry and registrar worlds.
"Fay is joining us at a critical time to support our expanding business operations to serve our client list which spans public administrations, global corporations and entrepreneurs all of whom are striving to meet the complexities of the ICANN domain name application system" said Sedari's CEO Dr. Liz Williams. "Her experience is central to plans to launch our registry services management platform in early 2012" Williams continued.
Fay Howard worked as general manager of CENTR, the association of Internet Country Code Top Level Domain Registries. During this time, she represented those registries in the consultative process to form ICANN and served on ICANN's Names Council.
She subsequently worked for Nominet, the managers of the .uk registry, on a project to improve industry standards. In 2002, she began six years as a non-executive on the Nominet board.
Fay wrote the winning bid for .eu and then developed rules and procedures for .eu to comply with ICANN and European Commission requirements. For the past four years she has worked in the commercial area of domain name registration, providing European representation and management expertise to Instra, an ICANN accredited registrar.
