Dyn Inc. Acquires Email Delivery Provider SendLabs

Dynamic Network Services (Dyn Inc.), kicks off 2011 by formally announcing the acquisition of New Hampshire-based, email delivery provider, SendLabs. Dyn Inc. is firmly positioned as a fast-growth Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) company, dedicated to providing Internet infrastructure technologies (managed DNS and email delivery) to its evolving client roster. This announcement comes on the heels of a successful year-end for the company who experienced explosive growth in 2010, backed by Q4 banner enterprise DNS account wins including: Playdom, Evite, Vibrant Media and DataXu.

"Due to the tremendous success with our suite of consumer/SMB grade email services, we're continuously asked by our enterprise DNS clients for a solid outbound email delivery solution," said Kyle York, VP, Sales & Marketing, at Dyn Inc. "Deliverability is a major issue, especially for our e-commerce and Web 2.0 clients whose apps have automated bulk and transactional email functionality. We're excited to provide our customers with another great infrastructure service."

Dyn Inc. has offered four core consumer and small business email services (formerly named Mailhop; rebranded as SendLabs) on DynDNS.com since 2003 and has built a strong customer base. The company plans to strengthen these email gateway, backup, forward and outbound SMTP tools and deliver more intelligent MTA (Message Transfer Agent) and API-driven solutions. The company will be offering similar services for its Web enterprise clients currently taking advantage of its IP Anycast Managed DNS technology, the Dynect Platform.

"Dyn Inc. is a fast-growing, serviced-obsessed company who is focused on providing the most rock-solid Internet infrastructure around," added Brett Houle, Managing Director, SendLabs for Dyn. "We've built great friendships with the team at Dyn over the years which has contributed to how well our teams have worked together. We're beyond excited to combine our talented teams and efforts in order to bring our clients the most innovative email solutions available."

The SendLabs brand currently has email solutions for a range of segments, notably enterprise companies and those looking for white label services — all focused on automation and superior deliverability results. With real-time statistics for sent, bounced and spam emails, the API-rich SendLabs SmartMTA technology will be the core email focus for Dyn Inc. moving forward. The technology enables enhanced and reliable SMTP delivery results by intelligently queuing, throttling and delivering each message (bulk or transactional) to recipients, ensuring good standing with ISPs worldwide.

"The Dynect Platform completely changed the way we managed our DNS and enabled us to effortlessly migrate to the cloud and scale on-demand," added Michael Marano, Director Internet Technology at Future US, publishers of GamesRadar, MacLife, PC Gamer, Revolver, Guitar World and more. "The Sendlabs SmartMTA service will ensure mail deliverability across all our sites and servers without complex mail server configuration. We're thrilled with the new service offering and can't wait to complete our migration. Dyn Inc. does an amazing job of caring for their customers."
